Colleen Freake

Colleen grew up in St Margaret's Bay, Nova Scotia. She has been enthusiastic about environmental justice from an early age which led to diverse work and life experiences. Colleen has held roles in a variety of fields: silviculture, ecotourism, energy efficiency, environmental education, organic inspection, and as an advocate for agricultural climate solutions. She has also worked on a surprising number of vegetable farms throughout the Maritimes. She operates a small farm with her partner in rural Nova Scotia. Colleen is always eager to learn and grow.
