Julia Madden

Originally from Winnipeg, it wasn’t until moving to Halifax that Julia first took up cycling. She knows the challenges that come with learning to bike in a new city, and loves getting to help make the transition easier for community members firsthand. With a bachelors degree in community design, her planning background has informed an understanding of the need for better social infrastructure for newcomers; something she strives to help provide for through the Welcoming Wheels program. When not at work, you’ll likely find her with a camera in hand, listening to music, or watching low budget movies with her cat.
